DEANE OGDEN is an American record producer, session and touring drummer, and co-founder/songwriter/drummer for Stone Cold Killers.

Born to two jobbing musicians in the coastal mountains of the Pacific Northwest, Deane was raised during the musical era of record stores, radio, and sneaking into over-18 live shows with fake IDs. In 1979, when Deane was five years old, his mother brought home a .45 of "My Sharona" by The Knack, which he played repeatedly for weeks until she yelled at him to stop… then he played it some more. A few months later, Santa showed up with Deane's first drumkit, a Pearl cocktail 4-piece in Yellow Flash finish. Those drums changed everything, turning Deane's attention to the rhythm and drive of everyone on the radio from Jim Keltner to Mickey Curry, Paul Leim, and JR Robinson, as well as Billy Cobham, Tony Williams, Vinny Colaiuta, and Phil Gould on record. When Deane was eight years old, his father dad took him to see the legendary Al Green, who invited Deane onstage to play with his band. Deane continued with Green for two more nights at other stops on the tour, and that was it… it was clear that a career as a professional musician would be his life's pursuit.

Upon moving full-time to Los Angeles after school, Deane got busy filling in around town for various drummer friends on sessions and on stage, leading ultimately to a recording session at famed Sound City studio with Andrew Love of the Memphis Horns. Immediately enamored with the wonders of the recording process, Deane committed himself solely as a recording drummer, specifically a recording drummer specializing in arranging drum parts for artists and playing for the song. He slowly gained traction around LA, Nashville, Atlanta, and New York with a closely-curated stable of producers he's worked with for over two decades. During the mid-2000s, Deane's love of the live stage called him back to the road, which led to stints with Stevie Wonder, Kenny Loggins, Seal, Jewel, Robbie Williams, George Duke, Al Jarreau, and legendary producers Phil Ramone, David Foster, John Alegía, and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Deane has also recorded and toured with Britney Spears, Gavin Degraw, Selena Gomez, Dido, Andrea Corr, Natalie Merchant, Mary J. Blige, Mandy Moore, Duncan Sheik, Jessica Simpson, Natalie Imbruglia, Leona Lewis, and more.

As a composer, Deane has written the music for numerous feature films and NBC and CBS primetime network television. From 2002 to 2006, Deane wrote and produced for ABC Sports’ Emmy Award-winning Monday Night Football, and NBC Sports has commissioned his original work for all of its Olympic Games telecasts since 2008.

Deane proudly endorses Kyre Drums, Bosphorus cymbals, and Roland electronics.

He has used Vater drumsticks for over 20 years.

Around the turn of the Millenium, Deane was hired to play drums for an independent artist who was demoing up a solo project for Mercury Nashville. In the studio, they hit it off and Deane was hired to replace the producer for all of the remaining sessions. From those recordings, Deane embarked on a second career producing artists in the singer/songwriter and adult-oriented rock genre categories. These days, record production consumes a large part of Deane's musical activity, working with artists from his project studio on the tropical island of Bali.
