The Conversation

The Conversation is a business advice and resource subscription exclusively for people involved professionally in the Creative Arts. I created this community in late 2010 after an essay I wrote called "Have You Had the Conversation?" went viral between over 3,000 creative professionals on LinkedIn, Twitter, Quora and Facebook.

What's Included?

I deliver resources, insights, interviews with other Creatives (e.g. actor, composers, directors, screenwriters, novelists, visual artists, etc.) in a monthly email. Each email encourages a rigorous and dynamic dialog within The Conversation subscriber base on how to support a healthy, balanced, and rewarding lifestyle built on getting up everyday to do what we are most passionate about: Creating. No matter what field of creativity you make your living in, The Conversation will help you solidify the business side of your creative strategy, strengthen your creative output, and show you how to become a more effective and prosperous artist.

The Conversation provides artists of all types tried-and-true concepts for conceiving, building, and maintaining a healthy and vibrant business as a Creative professional. It also has become a study-community for people who are earning a successful full-time living in the creative arts space. As of Winter 2012, that community includes over 500 Grammy-winning songwriters, internationally recognized painters and raw materials artists, Oscar-winning directors, cinematographers and producers, Emmy-nominated actors and composers, touring and performance dancers, Hollywood screenwriters, and more.
