SCOREcast 17:

Thematic Scoring

In the next episode of SCOREcast, we’ll be spotlighting Deane’s latest score for Louis Mandylor’s psychological thriller “In the Eyes of a Killer” and using it as an example of how Deane approaches the themes and motifs in each of his projects. We’ll take a look at the lengths different composers go to in developing a theme as well as how thematic variations work together with motifs to produce a cohesive concept for a score.
