Another great article Dean. 'Leaders are learners,' I think that's a great thing to keep in mind, just keep learning and improving.
Yeah, Sam… I've always loved the notion that if you don't continue to learn you can't lead people. It makes so much sense. And history bears it out — how many leaders who were mightily influential started believing their own press, thought they had their shit together, got lazy, and lost that influence? Gazillions. Crazy. Thanks for reading, man!
Nice one Deane. After reading through that I've certainly noticed a few areas where I could do with putting some work in.
Thanks, Terry! We ALL can improve in areas, bro. Believe me, I have my own list! LOL
Fantastic article Deane and I couldn't agree more with all of this. Fundamentally it's about treating this as a real business and applying successful business approaches. The face-to-face thing is huge as well!
That's right, James. They don't call it the music "business" for nothin'!
Thanks for reading, bro!
Great article as always Deane. My current mission: connect and MAINTAIN.
Hey man, thank you! In hindsight, "engagement" would probably be a better word than "maintenance" if only because maintenance sounds like something that is "dutiful" — something you have to do, whereas engaging with people is something you actually ought to want to do. But, schlemiel – schlemazel! Just get out there and do it, bro! Let me know how you faire!
and might I add… well, nothing. Well said!
Thanks for stopping in, Geoff. Glad you agree, bro!
Dude, what a kick ass article! After that reading, it's hard not to check you out and do it.
Thanks for stopping in, Jorge! Now go kick some of that ass!
