Redesigning the Redesign

news

Awhile ago, the team and I redesigned [DeaneOgden.com] to appear as it did yesterday—the deep gray, the electric blue, the minimalist goodness. Well, as I told you originally, things change on a fairly regular basis around here. You get antsy. I get demanding. Nothing that can't be remedied with obscene amounts of chocolate.

Turns out, some of the jQuery stuff we were using on the site didn't jive well with the latest releases of Chrome or Safari, which essentially means that our stuff didn't jive with Apple's newest release of WebKit. Both of those browsers use WebKit to render images and do other highly technical and confusing stuff. The result was that some people weren't getting updates, a few folks in The Conversation community missed last month's issue—that sort of thing.

So... you will see a few new updates around here this week. I will continue to push out helpful content like I always try to. We are a great roll around here with fresh daily stuff. That part won't be changing. But aesthetically and technically, we're fussing with some tweaks and improvements to fix the above mentioned issues people are having.

Got Ideas?

Something else that's staying the same and not changing is that I want to hear what your ideas are. Even for my stuff. If you are experiencing any issues at all with [DeaneOgden.com] that need to be addressed, while we have the hood open, why not let us know? You can shoot my assistant Amy an email and she can help you out.

If you have a question for me about composing, creating, the film industry or the projects I'm working on, you can certainly send those as well by clicking here.

Lastly, if you wanna just tell us how wonderful we are, save your oxygen and give a few bucks instead to a more worthwhile cause. If I could suggest Education Through Music—Los Angeles, they are a wonderful organization that is doing some amazing things for kids who love making music.

Thanks so much for being a part of my life and work.

You ALL rule.
